Mission Statement:

As members of the Catholic Faith Community of Most Holy Trinity Parish,
Tucson, Arizona
we proclaim the Vision of all our Ministry
to be Christ's Great Commandment of Love

"Which commandment is the first of all?"
Jesus answered, "The first is,
'Hear, 0 Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one,
you shall love the Lord God with all your heart, and with all your soul,
and with all your mind, and with all your strength.'
The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
There is no other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12: 29-31)

Moved by the command found in our Vision Statement,
we wholeheartedly accept as our Mission, Christ Great Commission to:

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28: 19-20)

Therefore we accept the following as our mission:

To be a gathering place marked by openness, welcoming all of God's people and actively welcoming and inviting others to join us in the work of building God's Kingdom.

To be a vibrant inclusive community committed to holding as our highest value the dignity and growth of all God's people, reaching across boundaries of religion, race, age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and disabling conditions.

To have full and active participation in communal worship which is alive with a passion that inspires and challenges us to grow in understanding of the Word of God and our responsibilities in building God's Kingdom.

To evangelize by all ways and means possible and to reach out and spread the Good News of Jesus to the alienated, the un-churched, those searching for God and to both inactive and active Catholics that all may deepen their personal conversion.

To affirm our many blessings, and to challenge ourselves and one another to be good stewards of our gifts by sharing our time, our talent, and our personal and communal resources in achieving the Church's mission.

To educate the parish about church and community needs and to provide a full accounting of how our financial support meets these needs.

To create on-going faith formation for all ages and to provide the necessary resources and personnel.

To live justly, according the norms of Catholic Social Teaching, working to eradicate the root causes of injustice, meet the needs of the poor and marginalized, and to promote racial and ethnic harmony, peacemaking, non- violence and respect for all stages of life.
