Pilgrimage to El Salvador | March 17-26, 2012
Fr. Bill Remmel and Leo Guardado will again lead a pilgrimage retreat to the place of the Martyrs in El Salvador. We will leave on Saturday, March 17 and return on Monday, March 26th, 2012. Unless the price of fuel drives airline tickets through the roof, the cost of the pilgrimage will be $1500. The number of participants, not including Fr. Bill and Leo, will be 10.
El Salvador is a mountainous country so you need to be in reasonable health and able to maneuver up and down steps and the mountains.
Because we want this trip to be as prayerful and as meaningful as possible, there will be some required reading as well as 6-10 meetings where we will watch and discuss documentaries on the country, the civil war, and the martyrs. For this reason, we will need all participants registered by January 8, 2012.
If you know that you want to go on this pilgrimage, please contact Fr. Bill or Leo Guardado to reserve a spot. We will reserve spots on a first come first serve basis.
Once again, Erica Dahl-Bredine, former parishioner and now head of CRS El Salvador, will help organize the itinerary for the pilgrimage. Erica worked in San Salvador during the civil war.
