Key Areas for Youth Ministry at MHT:

Scriptural:
We share the word of God in creative ways so that the youth/teens may have a better understanding of the scriptures.

Service:
We find pleasure in fulfilling our baptismal promise by serving others. We are involved in service projects that may sometimes take place on a different day/time depending on what we are doing to serve our community.

Social:
We have two kinds of social gatherings: 1) Sharing current issues of personal interest and education that may involve guest speakers. 2) Activities where we socialize with each other as a community just to have fun.

Volunteers in our Youth Ministry programs are called “CORE” Members. This is the acronym which represents:

Christ–Centered (Core members must practice the Catholic faith and have a relationship with Him)
Open-minded (Core members must be open to Jesus and open to others)
Reliable (Core members must take this commitment seriously. Time commitment is approximately four hours a week.)
Enthused (Core members must love youth and be willing to share their faith and talents with others.)

Training for persons interested in working with youth/teens is provided.
